X-Men Goes Anime

Animax, Madhouse, G4, and Marvel Anime has released this year the Wolverine and Iron Man Anime series. Many of you may already be aware that there will also be an X-MEN Anime series!

According to Animax and Marvel, the storyline of the X-Men series is set one year after the death of Jean Grey and after the X-Men organization has effectively disbanded. However, Hisako Ichiki (Armor) — a mutant middle school girl living in northeastern Japan — has gone missing. An emergency call for help is sent, and the founder of the X-Men, Professor X, summons his team from all over the globe. The reunited X-Men travel to Japan where they encounter a supremacist cult called the U-Men.

The series will premiere on Animax on April 1. Animax already launched an Iron Man and Wolverine anime, and it is also planning an anime for Marvel's Blade character this summer. The American network G4 plans to begin running these four titles this year. For the rest of us who dont have these channels, you know where to look for it *wink* *wink* HERE IS THE TRAILER:

The New THUNDERCATS

Warner Bros. Animation is producing a new ThunderCats animated series scheduled for release in 2011 by Cartoon Network. Japanese animation studio Studio 4°C, which provided animation for Warner Bros. films The Animatrix and Batman: Gotham Knight, will be working on the artwork and animation for the new series. Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10) will be the executive producer and is joined by Michael Jelenic (Wonder Woman, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Ethan Spaulding (Avatar: The Last Airbender) as the producers for the series. The show will explain Lion-O's ascension to the Thunderean throne with a more original feel and darker style than the 1980s series. In early November 2010, former Lion-O voice actor Larry Kenney revealed that he would be playing the role of Lion-O and Tygra's father Claudius in the opening three-part episode of the new series.

In January 2011, A promotional poster featuring re-imagined designs for Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthro and Tygra as well as design for the Sword of Omens and vehicles were shown at the London Toy Fair.

Cartoon Network aired an 80 second-long trailer during the After Party Special of the "Hall of Game Awards" sports award show (on February 25, 2011), giving the viewers peaks at all the previously confirmed characters: as well as Jaga, Wilykit/Wilykat, and King Claudus.

Iron Man, Wolverine, Blade, and the X-Men gone ANIME!

Jeph Loeb, Executive Vice President, Head of Television of Marvel, has confirmed at the Iron Man Anime panel in Comic-Con International on Friday that the four Marvel Anime television series will launch in the United States on the G4 television network in 2011. The four anime series are Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men, and Blade. The first episode of the Iron Man anime, "Enter Iron Man," features the characters Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, as well as new Japanese characters and the mass-produced Iron Man Dio suits. The Wolverine anime will feature the characters Wolverine, Mariko Yashida, Omega Red, and Yukio.

MADHOUSE Chief Creative Officer Masao Maruyama and John Rieber (Senior Vice President, Programming and Production, G4) appeared at the panel with Loeb. Kristin Adams, a host and correspondent at G4, said that the network is hoping to launch the Iron Man anime series in spring of 2011. Rieber added that the other anime series will be run "as soon as they're ready." While he noted that G4 has shown subtitled programming in the past, Rieber did not commit to showing the anime with subtitles.

-Awesome thing about the IRON MAN Anime: It looks like it's a CONTINUATION OF THE MOVIE
-SUCKY thing about the WOLVERINE Anime: WOLVERINE looks like a FU#KING PRETTYBOY DUMBASS
